So lately I've been thinking about the people who are leading our country, the people who make our laws and pretty much map out the future of how we'll live, at least the important things anyways. I've also watched an whole episode of WWE RAW last Monday because my aunt was over and she loves that shit. I'm thinking voting is like rooting for a wrester in the WWE. Ya it makes you feel like your making a difference, ya you feel like your doing something, ya I feel like I'm contributing to society, but really, there's no effect on the outcome.

As far as voting goes, there are to many dumb people out there, they are uninformed, they don't know the issues, they are dumb! But at least they vote, only the people who don't vote are worse.

It isn't a nice thought, thinking about the direction our country is heading. Turn on American Idol, watch Lost, root for the Leafs, bitch about the weather, shit bitch about the government, but don't push for change...

Because everything will work out in the end if you ignore it. But then again, how would you even know?

P.S. Once again my Bills did not make the playoffs, this tells me two things: 1) golf courses in Buffalo will be booked for the next few months. 2)The world isn't ending this year, because I'm positive that god (I use the small "g" just in case he gets offended by my rantings) will not let me see the Bills win it all ever. the four horsemen will be riding up my street as the Bills are in the red zone ready to score the winning touchdown in the super bowl.

My beloved Buffalo Bills have won the last 4 of 5 games and I'm over the moon about it. They've lost two games in the final seconds by field goals (to Denver and Dallas) and could very easily be 6-2. Besides two tough match ups with New England and the New York Giants their schedule looks pretty good. Miami twice, Cleveland and Philadelphia are nice and Washington is a win if the Bills play well, Jacksonville looked like crap this week, so I hope they have a repeat performance against the Bills.

Now I'm just trying to decide, would I rather the Bills beat the Patriot and end their undefeated streak or make the playoffs? Tough call. If the Bills do beat New England watch me on the news, I'll be the guy who gets arrested for running naked in the streets.

I spend a good portion (2 days) of my honeymoon in this heezy. Disneyland was excellent, I love acting like a child. We got to get the "cast member rate" at a LaQuinta hotel, which was awesome, and it had a kingsize bed "know imma saying!!!! know imma saying"

There are some real reasons why I think they will rule. Stan VanGundy is a fatter, non-dead version of his brother. He made the Heat into a championship, when Pat "Donnie Brasco" Riley saw this happening he fired Stan, and then got a ring. So now they have a good coach, a good swingman, a great centre and some good gaurd play. and dreams really do come true in Orlando.

#2 Washington Capital Wizards

The Wiz only have one thing going against them. George Bush lives in the same city as they play. He hates black people. Do the math.

Gilbert Arenas is the most prolific scorer in the east (Sorry Bron) but he can't so it alone, and Caron Butler is just a more klingon like version of Joey Graham. There I said it!

#3 Miami Heat

I'm so over the Heat, Shaq is only going to play like 5 games, Wade will want a trade to a good team, and they have managed to sign every mediocre player in the NBA, and they have an average age of 45. Plus I know for a fact that the people that robbed toine also stole what was left of his J.

#4 Charlotte

Sean May is a embarassment to North Carolina fans, he must have been coached by Coach K seceretly, cause he seems to be more of a baby than JJ Reddick (who will be a great 3 ball shooter this year)

Also, Emeka Okafor is only good when he is on One Tree Hill.

The best basketball player in Atlanta is Michael Vick, DONE.

This is my 2007 Eastern Conference Preview. I've been waiting to write this since Prince was on Apollonia (Look it up, or ask Joe)

Grand CENTRAL station (division)

#1 Chicago Bulls

Kanye, Common, Deep Dish, The fattest pitcher in the playoffs. There are all good qualities of Chi-Town. What does that have to do with them winning the Central you ask? Nothing. But the fact that they have the whitest person in the world running the point (Captain Kirk) and the most underrated Duke grad of all time (Luol Deng) makes them the team to beat. Im buying into the whole age factor here. Plus they never lose to the Raptors, so I can at least say I thought they were amazing when they beat us.

#2 Cleveland Cavaliers

They are going to get Brady Quinn to play for them. Even though Mike Brown is the worst coach since Miss. Beck at Heart Lake SS, they have the X-factor, and they also have a solid gold dancer on their team ( http://youtube.com/watch?v=7rkosq9Nh2o ) and that makes them radical in my book.

#3 Detroooooooit Basketball

Blah Blah Blah, old, malice at the palace. Rasheed is awesome, that grey patch on his head could drop 15 on any team in the NBA, BY IT"S SELF!

Jim O'Brien has never done anything productive, yet he gets a job. Fortunetly for them, everyone on their starting lineup can grow hair, which makes them better than the Bucks. I also Hate Jermaine O'Neal, he is a tattooed less talented, and uglier version of Christoper Philonious Bosh. Count it.

#5 Milwakee Bucks

Michael Redd is nice, his J is gross (in a good way and in a bad way). Charlie V has no hair and he is involved with ladies of the night (a solid source told me this). In other words, who cares about them.

Why is it that people can believe that nothing in life is free but they can't wrap their heads around the fact that anything worth having is worth working for?

Isn't it the journey that is important not the destination? I want the sense of accomplishment and I don't get it unless I feel I've worked for what I want. When it's handed to me it isn't quite the same. Maybe it's only a justification, I try to give a reason for why things can be hard. Am I the guy who tells you it's good luck to get shit on by a seagull?

I think that people who don't struggle for what they have should experience miserable joy in their accomplishments. They should be empty, and they are empty. But they've never known what it's like to be fulfilled. Better to erase your pulse with a razor blade then be a meat sack going threw the motions of life.

Wow, it's late, bed time for me. This post may be deleted by tomorrow due to me being all morbid and junk. Also I'm thinking maybe I should proof read these posts and not just write things as they pop into my head. Well maybe next time.

Rob Kaman Seminar

I'm bottom left in the red

Ok so the long and short if it is that Rob Kaman came to my gym (kombatarts.com) to give a Muay Thai seminar. It wasn't cheap, but wow, just wow. The things I learned make me realize how much more work I have to put in if I want to be a great fighter.

Not only did he teach me things I never even fathomed before (angles in the ring, getting out of the corner, combinations that are damn near impossible to block) but like in life it is the little things that make the difference. HE showed me minor things to change in my game. Twisting my body to throw the cross from a position that I can generate far more torque and much more power, "sitting down" when throwing the hook for more power, setting up a complicated powerful counter with a simple one that has the same set up as the more powerful one. I learned so much.

And he was a pretty nice guy to boot. Like I'm sure he does this kind of stuff a lot, and he has countless world titles, he trains with George St. Pierre, Hermes Franca, and countless other world famous fighters so I'm sure he wasn't super thrilled to be doing this seminar. But he still took the time to take pictures, and help with technique even if it was something very simple and quite frankly not worth his time to correct.

We trained for 6 hours on Saturday with a lunch break and for about 3 hours on Sunday with no lunch break. That's about all I have to write about the seminar because everything else would be very technical and thus very boring for all of you (Leigh and my mom I mean, as they are the only ones who read this blog).

Oh also, I met a pretty amazing girl at the seminar...

Teaching is not, not going to be interesting....

Soooooo,

4 weeks ago I began my foray into the teaching world, and I'm already glad I made the decision to go through with dropping a buttload (Brooke, 2006) of dough to drive 2 hours to the worst city ive ever driven through to spend 18 hours out of 36 in a classroom (that imbeded reference was just for practice, at D'Youville college (thats where I go (I love brackets)) they LOOOOOOVE APA style, they should marry it). On a side note, why we use the psychology style for writing papers on education is beyond me, that could be because I don't care about writing enough. Wow, that was incoherent, but im not going to fix it, since I'm not getting marked on it (that's kind of a teaching joke......but not a good one).

What I'm trying to get at here is, I like learning about this stuff, I like it a bit more than science (only because i like peoples opinions, and most of the time science is fact baed). I feel like in past four weeks my thoughts on the world and the inequalities that lie therein have developed emensley. I still have a long way to go, but i'm not much of a self reflector (I prefer to reflect on sports) so for me to recognize that must mean something is going right. I have also learned how to articulate my feelings and thoughts a bit better. When you are forced to reflect out loud about that the stuff that you read and hear about 45 times in 12 hours, you learn to express yourself properly, because if you don't, you will sound like a dummy. For example, I'm taking a class about content area literacy, which is being able to understand and use terms in a specific content area (math, biology, basketball, whatever). I never thought about it before, but now I think it's important. I mean how am i supposed to teach someone about biology if every time I say cell, they pull out their nokia and text me something like "lol i (l) u". Having realized this, I find myself already thing of ways I can help my students increase their biological literacy. That was boring example, but my point is I have learned a lot of interesting and relevant things (there are alot more personal discoveries I have made, but they are called personal discoveries for a reason).

Another thing I have enjoyed are my classemates. My classmates are cool. A few of them looooove to say not so smart things using big words in an attempt to impress someone (maybe the prof, maybe the blackboard, who knows). But generally they are all pretty cool. They have cool ideas, cool perspectives, they are fun, accepting, and complimentary. Now that I have said all this nice stuff about school, dont be alarmed when I spew out numerous posts on why they decided to give me so much work, that just the stress talking. The point is, I'm glad im going to be a teacher, im aware that it wont be easy as many of you think it will be, and im okay with that. THE END.

I am shocked an appalled by my recent experience with you and your staff. On December 12, 2006 I spent $983.77 on gifts for your son's birthday. I endured three-hour lines for a Tickle Me Elmo, a more then likely drunk Santa at the mall, and a man in church who I can only hope was asking for a case of Right Guard for Christmas.

To date, I have not so much as received a token thank you from you. I don't ask for much, maybe a raise, a hot girlfriend, a car that isn't a piece of crap, or even some UFC tickets.

I have been a faithful customer for over 24 years now. However, I have not been satisfied with your service lately. In fact, I was talking with my friend Abdul the other day and was admittedly impressed by Allah's work. I am sure you wouldn't want me going to one of your biggest competitors now would you?

When I say fuck you I am actually saying it to you, you the person who is reading this and I'll tell you why...

Everybody knows things are bad, things in the world that is.

Our food is unfit to eat, it is full of preservatives, high fructose corn syrup, and aspartame just to name a few of the poisons. Why is it in there? Because it's easier to make money that way, food lasts longer, is cheaper to produce, easier to market (it's FAT FREE! but full of chemicals) Why? Why will the pot head only smoke the good weed, the drunk will only drink his favourite beer, people will only wear certain brands of clothes, good clothes, people will buy an Ipod not the cheap knock off, people want that "good stuff", but not with their food. Why? Why will you look all over for the "good stuff", work your ass off at your job for it, but you won't get the good food? That's what's going into your body. The companies put fruit all over the bottle, kiwi's and strawberries and you read the ingredients and all you're getting is high fructose corn syrup! And flavouring to mask the APPLES. You buy fucking kiwi/strawberry juice and it's mostly apples and flavouring because they are cheap and there's lots of them in the our area. Where's my fucking fruit man? Damn!

And while they're churning out all this shit that's killing us, they are killing the earth. The air is unfit to breath for fuck sakes! The elderly and sick are forced to stay in doors on the worst of days because of air quality! Open your eyes people...

We turn on the news and find out how many violent crimes happened since the last time we tuned in and listen to the anchor person talk about it like that's the way things are supposed to be, we accept it. But we sit in our home letting our world get smaller. We don't go out to certain places anymore, we shy away from others. How long until we're sitting at home begging them "please, at least leave me alone in my own house, leave me my microwave, my TV and my fucking ipod, I won't say anything, just leave me alone"

There is to much wrong with the world, I don't know what to do about any of it, the poison they feed us, the environment we're killing, the society we're let going to hell, terrorism, inflation, poverty, war, famine. And it's not just enough to acknowledge the problem, you have to get angry! Don't you care? About anything? About yourself? These things should make you furious.

But they probably don't, so fuck you.

2)Miss summer league because you are 8 years old and need to get your tonsils fixed

3)Get season ending knee surgery....before the season starts.

On a lighter note, I went to Pizza Hut buffet....and Joe was right, it really is hard to stop eating in a situation like that.
